At a stated 14kg, it combines a lightweight frame with an adjustable air fork, wide range 1x12 gearing and fast rolling tyres.Cubes Aluminium Lite frame uses Advanced Mechanical Forming and double butted tubing, helping reduce unnecessary material while retaining strength where its needed. A tapered head tube provides a solid interface with the fork, while internal cable routing keeps the frame looking clean and helps protect the cables. The frame also includes SIC mounting points and a flat mount kickstand interface. This gives riders the option to add practical accessories if they want to adapt the Reaction Pro for longer adventures or everyday use.Up front, the RockShox Recon Silver RL Air fork provides 100mm of travel. The air spring can be adjusted to suit rider weight and preferences, allowing the suspension to be set up for the individual rider rather than relying on a fixed spring rate.RockShox PopLoc provides remote control of the fork from the handlebar. This makes it easy to firm up the suspension for smoother climbs and tracks, then open it again when extra comfort and control are useful on rougher terrain.Shimano XT components take care of shifting, with an RD M8200 SGS Shadow Plus 12 speed rear derailleur and SL M8200 IR shifter. The 1x setup keeps gear selection straightforward, with a single 32T ACID MTB Pro chainring removing the need for a front derailleur.A Shimano Deore CS M6100 10 51T cassette provides a broad range of gears. The large 51T sprocket gives an easier climbing ratio for steep gradients, while the 10T smallest sprocket provides useful gearing for faster sections.Shimano BR MT410 hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled stopping power, with 180mm and 160mm rotors specified. Hydraulic operation delivers consistent lever feel and useful modulation in changing weather and trail conditions.ACID EX25 wheels use 15x110mm Boost and 12x148mm Boost thru axles, creating a more secure wheel to frame connection than traditional quick releases. The rims are also tubeless ready, giving riders the option to convert to a tubeless setup for lower pressures, additional grip and improved puncture protection with sealant.Schwalbe tyres are matched to their position on the bike. A 2.25in Racing Ray with Addix Performance compound is fitted at the front, while a 2.25in Racing Ralph is used at the rear. This pairing combines front end grip and steering control with a faster rolling rear tyre.Cube uses its Size Split approach across the Reaction range, matching wheel size to frame size. The supplied specification doesnt state the exact wheel diameter for each size, so Ive avoided assigning specific 27.5in or 29in wheels.A 680mm Cube Rise Trail Bar and Performance Stem SLX form the cockpit, with a Cube Performance seatpost and ACID Venec Lite saddle completing the main contact points. ACID PP MTB pedals are also included.Overall, the Reaction Pro steps beyond a recreational hardtail with its RockShox air fork, Boost thru axles and Shimano XT shifting. Its relatively simple hardtail design remains easy to live with, while the 1x12 gearing and cross country focused Schwalbe tyres make it well suited to riders looking to cover ground efficiently off road.Note the manufacturer description refers to a RockShox Judy Silver fork, but the supplied specification lists a RockShox Recon Silver RL Air 100mm fork. Ive followed the model specific specification above rather than silently using the conflicting Judy Silver reference....Read More...»»
